[Linux] vServer nicht erreichbar - Email geht

Hallo RR-Gemeinde..

Ich hoffe ich bin in der richtigen Sektion..

Ich habe das Problem dass mein vServer nach ein paar Tagen im Internet-Explorer und Firefox nicht mehr erreichbar ist.. Emails kann ich aber noch empfangen und verschicken usw.. aber halt die Webseite nicht mehr erreichen.. und das immer nach ein paar Tagen.. so 2-3 Tagen..
dann muss ich den vServer rebooten und dann ist wieder alles wie gewohnt erreichbar..

Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen irgendwie.. da meine vServer-Kenntnisse ziemlich beschränkt sind.. (Habe den vServer nur weils n' gutes Angebot war ;-))

nee.. aber würde mich da eh nicht auskennen.. außerdem hab ich kein plan wie ich die durchschauen kann.. oder wie ich die hier reinposten könnte..

Normal findest du die logs unter "var/logs" dort musst du nach apache suchen oder welchen webserver du auch immer hast.

dort error.log eigentlich immer.

dann ließ einfach was drin steht. sind nich wie windows meldungen! Meist sind sie ziemlich verständlich. Ansonsten einfach hier posten.

Mein Gott wen man keine Ahnung von sowas hat sollte man die finger davon lassen.

Der Befehl um Apache neu zu starten ist in den meisten fällen:

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

und das verzeichnis ist nicht "var/logs" sonder "/var/logs". Die logs müssten in "/var/log/apache2/" sein.

oh man.. was soll ich machen?!?! wollte nur ein webserver.. aber wenn ein vServer mit mehr speicher und mehr traffic günstiger ist dann nehm ich den.. -.- hatte sonst auch keine probleme außer dieser scheiß -.- *grml*

Hey, nicht mit den Begriffen durcheinander kommen.
Solltest du wirklich nen VServer haben und keine Ahnung von der ganzen Sache, dann würd eich dir aber nahe liegen zumindest deine Software aktuell zu halten.

Kannst ja mal die Adresse zum Anbieter, besser gleich zum Angebot posten. Eventuell kann man dir dadurch besser helfen.

Ich weiß solche beiträge wie meine sind nicht gern gesehen, abe man sollte sich wirklich mit den Grundlagen mal beschäftigen. Das ist auch jetzt nicht böse oder vorwurfsvoll gemeint. Aber ganz ohne Kentnisse ist das eine verdammt schlechte idee.

Noch ein kleiner Tipp: Wenn das Problem erst nach 2 Tagen betrieb entsteht mach nen Cronjob/Crontab der alle 24 Stunden den Server neustartet. Falls du dich dazu entscheidest einfach mal googlen oder nochmal nachfragen.

wie mache ich denn das.. hab maln screenshot.. was muss ich da alles einfügen..

werd die nachsten tage mal den log hier posten.. wenn ich rausfinde wie ich das mach mit putty..
trotzdem danke an alle.. habt alle eine bewertung bekommen..
das angebot war früher einfach günstiger.. gibts jetzt glaube ich nichtmal mehr.. und jetzt will ich mich davon nichtmehr trennen.. auch wenn es glaube ich schon wieder günstigere angebote nur für webserver gibt..

Um ganz ehrlich zusein hab ich von Crontabs keine ahnung ^^.

Aber wenn ich mir das so überlge muss volgendes da rein:

Da bin ich mir aber nicht so sicher, vieleicht kann jemand der sich gut damit auskennt nochmal was dazu sagen.

apt-get install lighttpd

ich persoehnlich halte nichts von apache2 , dieser lighttpd läuft bei mir schon ewig ohne probleme

( youtube , etc nutzt den auch )

wenn du alles nach dieser beschreibung machst, geht er reibungslos.

und btw:

es gibt immer /var/log/ sonst wäre dein server kaputt oder er wurde hacked, damit niemand logs sehen kann.

pobiere doch einmal mal: mkdir -p /var/log/

und warte einfach ein bisschen bist der server wieder abkackt.

wenn garnichts hilft, reinstallation.

entweder so:

aptitude purge apache2

oder apt-get remove --purge apache2

danach einfach wieder apt-get install apache2

Dieses "purge" bedeutet, das ALLE dateien von diesem paket gelöscht werden.

Ich sehs schon vor mir, der vServer wird bestimmt irgendwann mal von irgendwem gerootet - wenn du nicht ein mal Confixx ordentlich bedienen kannst wirst du auch nicht in der Lage sein nen vServer richtig zu securen - für dich wäre vermutlich Webspace das richtige da dort die Serversicherheit etc vom Betreiber des RZs gemanaged wird.

Ohne Logs werden wir dir allerdings nicht helfen können....
Geh mal in die Konsole und mach folgendes:

cd /var

Code:

ls -al | grep log*

Anschliessend dann noch folgendes:
mit cd <logordner> in das Verzeichnis wechseln und dann

ls -al > logs

Dann mit WinSCP die Datei runterladen und uns zur Verfügung stellen, damit wir den Apache Log finden können.

P.S.: nen Lighttpd ist für nen schwachbrüstigen vServer besser geeignet, da er halt leichtgewichtiger ist und Apache bei vielen Usern sogar nen Root recht stark auslastet.

was is damit gemeint? in welches verzeichnis? erm kann das sein dass dieser code falsch ist?

Die Änderung des Codes bewirkt nur, das das Listing in die Datei log anstatt logs gepipet wird... macht also keinen Unterschied.
Die Datei kannst du nicht so einfach mit nem FTP Programm runterladen, da du ja (vermutlich?) keinen FTP Daemon laufen hast.
Das musst du schon mit WinSCP machen...
cd <logordner> bedeutet nur das du bei <logordner> den Namen deines Logordners eintragen sollst

Du machst Oben Doppelklick auf den "..." Ordner... dann solltest du Ordner wie /etc, /var, /lib etc sehn... nun öffnest du den /var Ordner und dann in den /log (/var/log/apache2) dort findest du die apache logs.
