Es ist zwar einen Hauch (0,2 Zoll) kleiner als das iPhone-Display, punktet aber mit der deutlich höheren Auflösung von 800 x 480 Pixeln. Gerüchteweise verlautet, dass das S8500 das erste Smartphone mit Bluetooth 3.0 sein wird, das Daten dementsprechend mit bis zu 24 Mbps durch die Gegend funkt. Im Gehäuse, das aussieht wie Samsungs Gehäuse eben immer aussehen, stecken außerdem ein mit 1 GHz getakteter Prozessor und zwei Gigabyte Speicher. Außerdem zählen eine 5-Megapixel-Kamera (mit 720p, Autofokus und Blitz), Wi-Fi, GPS und HSDPA im silbergrauen Gewand. Das S8500 soll ab April 2010 erhältlich sein.
