    Sony hat heute Pläne für seine Reorganisation vorgestellt, die am 01.04.09 in Kraft treten soll.

    Neu ist die Abteilung 'Networked Products & Services Group'. Zu ihr wird Sony Computer Entertainment gehören. Ebenso ist die Sparte für VAIO-PCs, neue Mobile-Produkte (inkl. Walkmen-Produktreihe), Sony Media Software und Services verantwortlich.

    Chef der 'Networked Products & Services Group' wird Kazu Hirai sein. Er wird Executive Vice President of Sony Corporation und Präsident der neuen Gruppe sein. Ebenso wird er seinen bisherigen Posten als Präsident und Group CEO von Sony Computer Entertainment beibehalten.

    Kunimasa Suzuki, derzeit Präsident der 'Consumer of America Group' von Sony Electronics in den USA, wird Senior Vice President der Sony Corporation und Deputy President der neuen Gruppe sein.
