Videodatei von Ext.Platte wird auf TV nicht wiedergegeben

    Tachchen!
    Hab meine externe Festplatte am TV angeschlossen und schaue darüber gern Filme oder Serien (weil weniger umständlich als Laptop + HDMI). Jetzt da Sons of Anarchy 4 komplett ist, wollt ich das auch mal am Stück schauen. Folge 1 lief problemlos, Folge 2 kann er aber nicht abspielen, und ich würd gern wissen, wieso das so ist, damit ich das Problem in Zukunft vielleicht umgehen kann.
    Habe einen Samsung LE32B530P und eine Western Digital WDBACW0020HBK My Book Essential 2TB externe Festplatte.

    Es fällt auf, dass in Folge zwei unter "writing application" mkvmerge steht, bei den funktionierenden Episoden etwas anderes.
    Ich schätze dass er irgendwas beim Muxen verändert hat, was der Tv nicht erkennt (vielleicht ein flag nicht oder falsch gesetzt etc.)
    Änliche Zicken gab es auch, als DVD Player anfingen DivX oder Xvid zu lesen, da kam es auch auf die Einstellungen und die Codecversion an.

    Erkennt der TV die Datei gar nicht als Video oder schmiert es ab?

    Beim TV kommt dann immer die Meldung "Videodaten n. unterstützt" und dann springt er zum nächsten File im Ordner (eben Folge 3). Das ist mir auch aufgefallen, aber ich dachte, das bedeutet nur, dass ein anderes Programm für die Erstellung der Datei benutzt wurde. Wäre unerwartet, wenn allein schon das dafür sorgen könnte, dass die Datei nicht funktioniert. :O
    Hmm, dann muss ich mir vielleicht eine andere Version für Folge 2 suchen.

    Über die Parallele zum alten DivX kann ich mir das schon ganz gut vorstellen.
    Der Mangel an Flexibilität ist eben die Schwäche der Standalone Geräte.
    Je nach Kenntnis kannst du auch versuchen die Folge selbst noch mal zu demuxen und muxen.
    Eine neue Quelle sollte aber wohl schneller gehen.
